Hey everyone! Thanks for clicking on this video! Today’s video is the things nobody really talks about in regards to nursing. I wish I had known these things before becoming a nurse. I enjoy being a nurse, but it would have been nice to know what I was in for! Please leave in the comments what you wish you would have known or wish you knew about nursing!

Nursing is a profession that requires compassion so if that is not present, you are in the wrong profession then.
Heyy!
I'm so confused.
I don't know to pick between pharmacy and nursing. But I just feel drawn to nursing and I love biology and chemistry and I love practical things. I'm so scared please reply 🥺
The grading scale for my nursing school was 80-85 (C), 86-92 (B), & 93-100 (A).. I was one of the lucky ones who caught on to information they test on quick so I did really well.. but it is manageable & you can do it for anyone just starting out!
I fear chemistry and I fear failing in college. I'm trying very hard not to fear science, a lot of this gives me anxiety. Any advice?
I wish I knew how to study effectively 😩
Your union needs to protect you from mandatory overtime. Force them to hire more staff.
Booked my first zoom meeting to find out about nursing school. I’m really nervous to start but I think I’m ready since I have some knowledge due to medical assisting program.
Nursing is not for the fragile. Yes, OG nurses can be mean, but I don’t think it’s bcz we “think we’re cool”😂. Baby nurses can be awesome — when they’re willing to learn, work hard, & try everything. I do not care how it was “done in school” or “at your last job”, you’re one of us now, do it the unit way. And new person, if you are caught taking selfies, checking your phone while your call lights are ringing, pumps beeping, alarms sounding—no one will respect you. Just like any other job, work hard, be polite & people will like you.
I've started nursing school
My favorite line: “You have to be really good at ducking”
Doctors and surgeons are such jerks oftentimes
I wish I had known that it does not matter when you do what is right, what is best or what is safest. Someone will always be upset with you, someone will always disagree, and in toxic environments, someone will always rip you a new one. I wish I knew that I would never once feel appreciated, ever. I’m learning to cope with it now, but I do see myself leaving the career within 10 years.
Do your research before going into nursing. You gotta know what your signing up for
Well the other nursing school is 78%
Where u went to nursing school? 80%!? Mine school is 75%
Currently on my final year any boy….. I am dying I feel like I'm only completing this degree because I am too near the end to turn back. Living in Jamaica clinicals are so….. brutal. Starting to wonder if I made the wrong choice.
I dont really have a social life 😂😂INTROVERT!
I wish I knew how many sociopaths are in nursing
I want to be in the medical field but idk exactly what type of thing I want to do. I really would like some help please
She's got a hickey
Yeah pharmacology is making me cry!!
My sister thought I was changed forever but the day I graduated I was so relaxed and myself again. It is insanity.
my cousin is a nurse and she said shes dieing
Thank you for such an honest and eye opening video. I'm am now getting my prerequisite together to enter my nursing program and as much as I am entering this field because I care about people it's nice to know that nursing isn't as glamorous as it may seem but still rewarding and fulfilling if it's what you want.
I had a roommate who failed nursing school by a fraction of a percent. He never missed a day of school, was really dedicated. He was so disappointed after all those years & money spent. I myself am a former nursing assistant & left the job because I was verbally & physically assaulted daily. And, yes, unbelievably by the elderly. They never told me that in school. They should have. I personally highly recommend that people consider working as a nursing assistant first to get a realistic idea of what the job will be like, talk to actual nurses on the job before investing in a nursing degree. You might love it! I didn't but at least I only lost a few months and $1,400.
Really super helpful channel, thanks.
Patient safety would be a concern if I worked more than 12 hours. Thats where mistakes are made.
I'm on my 5th semester, not studying in the US though. Everything you say is true, but our hours aren't as long. Even the dementia patients. I've been hit too. 😂😂
Do you still work around 17 hours each day even if you have a lot of years of experiences?
FINALLY a mom of two and wife that is talking about this
Im getting ready to start in April and im scared now to top it im completely an empathy though love to help people…but how should i protect myself while helping those in need of my support.
Ho my God see me through i reading to prepare abit for school and to know abit of the basics befor school start but the books are tough.
Love this honesty. I just can’t seem to get my mind off nursing no matter how many negatives i hear. I feel so drawn to it but wonder if that will change once I’m actually subjected to it. I need to follow my heart but the fear is always there. Also i wonder hoe nursing differs in America compared to Ireland.
Hi, I’m new here🤩🖤
